18 Artists exchange [un]finished works at EFFJAY PROJEKTS Gallery
EFFJAY PROJEKTS Gallery is pleased to announce two exhibitions titled, ‘[un]finished’ and ‘New Works by Timon Tupper. ‘[un]finished’ features works Beki Borman, Judy Dubrosky, Laura Gorzek, Adam Horwitz, Leah Schreiber Johnson, Maureen Kane, Michael Kautzer, Tiffany Knopow, Mary Overman, Jessica Poor, Melissa Dorn Richards, Sara Risley, Maggie Sasso, Jessica Z Schafer, Anja Notanja Sieger, Becky Tesch, Dean Valadez, and Serena Weits. Timon Tupper from Sheboygan will be exhibiting new works.
Join us for an artist reception on November 10 from 5 to 8pm. Artist talks start at 6pm. The gallery is located at 604 Erie Avenue, Lower Level in Sheboygan. This exhibition runs from November 8 – December 1, 2012.
Becky Tesch, curator, states that most artists have partially finished works in our studios that are collecting dust. They did not go as planned (if there ever was a plan), and they got frustrated, distracted by other projects, and set them aside. For some reason however, they did not throw them away. Tesch’s never ending quest to find new uses for things resulted in inviting 18 artists swap unfinished works and work to finish each others pieces.
“I don’t just want to hang a show, I want to create new experiences for us”, says Tesch.
In Gallery II, Sheboygan-based stencil/street artist Timon Tupper will be exhibiting new works.
Gallery hours are Thursday and Friday from 5-8pm, Saturdays from 11-3pm and by appointment.
Open to the public.
